Jesper Riedel giving a talk about hybrid work

About us

Specialists in hybrid leadership that works in practice

Hybridledelse.dk is a specialist platform for hybrid leadership, collaboration design and digital working habits. We help organisations turn hybrid work into a strength, with practical steps that have been tested in real life.

The story

Born of a working life that changed for good

Hybridledelse.dk was founded in 2021, when working from home went from the exception to the norm, and thousands of leaders suddenly had to lead teams they no longer saw every day. Back then, “hybrid leadership” was a new term. Today it’s a leadership discipline, and we’ve followed it, challenged it and built tools for it from the start.

The groundwork was laid years earlier. Jesper spent ten years as a leader in international tech organisations, seven of them responsible for hybrid teams across eight markets, well before most workplaces had to learn the same lessons. Everything we do is built on that experience: talks, workshops, leadership programmes and coaching grounded in the working week, not in slide decks.

We rarely take on a job alone. Over the years, we’ve brought in skilled colleagues from the field when an organisation needed a particular specialism, and those partnerships will play a bigger part from here on. So hybridledelse.dk is built as much on close partnerships as on our own experience.

Our approach comes down to three principles. First, no consultant fluff: we talk about meetings, agreements and habits, not buzzwords. Second, everything has to be usable tomorrow, and every talk ends with concrete steps. Third, we build on research and practice, not on gut feeling.

The person behind it

Jesper Riedel

Jesper has 20+ years in international tech organisations, including 15 years at Microsoft. Ten of them as a leader, and seven responsible for hybrid teams across eight markets, long before hybrid work became commonplace. He is managing director of the consultancy LeapForward and founded hybridledelse.dk in 2021.

Having carried the responsibility for teams spread across countries, time zones and home offices is the backbone of the 5 pillars, the model behind our talks, leadership programmes and leadership coaching. The model is built on a Danish method we call De 5 R’er, after five Danish words: Retning, Relationer, Rammer, Rytmer and Robusthed. In English: Direction, Relationships, Ways of working, Rhythms and Resilience.

“Trust isn’t the same as never following up. Follow up on what you agreed, not on who’s at their desk.”

Jesper Riedel, founder of hybridledelse.dk

Some of the colleagues we work with

Some jobs call for more than one area of expertise. That’s why we work regularly with several trusted specialists who’ve stood shoulder to shoulder with us on client work. Meet two of our closest partners.

Sara Kragelund, partner, Involved

Sara Kragelund

Co-founder & CEO, Involved

Sara is co-founder and CEO of Involved, a European technology company that helps organisations make better decisions through real involvement. She has a master’s degree in political science and spent almost ten years at Microsoft, most recently as marketing director. We’ve delivered several workshops together, and her field overlaps directly with ours: how do you get every voice heard when half the room is behind a screen?

Michael Ilsø Jensen, partner and founder of Comento

Michael Ilsø Jensen

Founder, Comento

Michael has many years of leadership experience from a 30-year commercial career, including at Semler and Mercedes-Benz, along with five years as a consultant and interim manager. Today he is the founder of Comento, where he works on leading specialist professionals: lawyers, engineers and consultants who are led by whatever case they’re working on rather than by a fixed line manager, and who are often spread across changing assignments and home offices.

When nobody really owns the leadership of these specialists, there’s a big risk of lost engagement, lost direction and lost results. It’s a risk that’s rarely spotted until it’s expensive to put right.

Michael’s insight is simple, but rarely put into practice: a sense of safety breeds engagement, engagement breeds good customer experiences, and good customer experiences show up on the bottom line. In short, culture and customers turn into cash. That connection is what drives his work on regenerative leadership and psychological safety.

“Psychological safety isn’t a soft value. It’s a hard business advantage.”

Michael Ilsø Jensen
