Talks for Denmark’s Mental Health Day 2026
This year, Denmark’s Mental Health Day focuses on psychological safety: a culture where people can talk openly. Book a talk that makes exactly that concrete in your workplace.
About the day
Denmark’s Mental Health Day is your reason to have the conversation
Denmark’s Mental Health Day is a nationwide initiative from the Velliv Association (Velliv Foreningen), where workplaces across the country set a day aside for mental health. In 2026 it falls in week 41 (Monday 5 to Friday 9 October), and we’ve kept the whole week free for talks and workshops on collaboration, digital wellbeing and psychological safety in the hybrid workplace.
This year’s theme is psychological safety: a culture where you can say things out loud, admit mistakes and ask for help without fearing the reaction. Jesper Riedel’s talk is grounded in day-to-day hybrid work, where safety is harder to read when the team is spread out. It gives practical steps the whole workplace can use the next day. Themes
What we cover
We tailor the content to your workplace. These are the themes the day is most often about.
01
Why safety decides what a team can do
Amy Edmondson’s research in language everyone understands: why the best teams are the ones where people dare to say things out loud.
02
Safety at a distance
In hybrid work, the informal contact that used to catch early signs of strain disappears. This is how you read and build a sense of safety when the team is spread out.
03
From silence to dialogue
Practical steps and digital tools that bring out what goes unsaid, so you talk about what’s really on people’s minds.
04
The leader’s role
Safety starts at the top: how leaders make it safe to be honest through small, visible actions.
What you get
What you walk away with
Not just a feel-good day that’s forgotten a week later, but a shared starting point to build on.
01
A shared language
So talking about difficult things becomes part of everyday work, not something saved for one theme day.
02
Practical steps from day one
Small, practical changes to meetings and follow-up that build a sense of safety.
03
The courage to say it out loud
A workplace where it becomes easier to reach out before things get serious.
04
A way forward
The option to follow up the day with a dialogue programme that helps the sense of safety take hold.
Formats
Choose what fits your occasion
The same core content, packaged for the setting you need on the day.
Talk
The simplest set-up for the day: one talk for the whole workplace, giving everyone the same language for psychological safety to take forward.
Workshop
The talk followed by a workshop where you apply the theme to how you actually work. This is where the day lasts beyond the day itself.
Virtual format
If your people work across several locations, we run the day online or hybrid, so no department is left out.
